Each week during the regular season, the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association recognizes deserving student-athletes for their outstanding performances on the field. IWLCA Players of the Week are selected across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III as well as the NAIA, highlighting the top offensive and defensive standouts from games played during the previous week. For the 2026 season, the awards began on Feb. 10 for Division I, Feb. 17 for Division II and NAIA, and March 3 for Division III.
These honors celebrate exceptional individual efforts and the impact these student-athletes have in leading their teams throughout the collegiate season.
Conference, Institutional Sports Information personnel, or coaches may nominate a maximum of TWO lacrosse student-athletes (one for each award) who are worthy of consideration for this national honor. Nominations are due each Monday by 4:00 p.m. ET and should include performances from games played during the previous Monday–Sunday window, with the exception of the first week to account for earlier-season contests in some divisions. These Players of the Week will be announced on Tuesday afternoon thereafter.
