IWLCA Players of the Week –May 19, 2026

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The IWLCA has chosen seven student-athletes for the IWLCA Player of the Week awards for the week ending May 17, 2026. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II and III during the regular postseason.

Division I

Offensive Player of the Week
Taylor Hoss—Johns Hopkins University

Hoss recorded nine points in No. 4 Johns Hopkins’ NCAA Quarterfinal win over No. 8 Stony Brook, tallying three goals and six assists. She capped off the historic performance with the game-winning goal with just one second remaining, sending the Blue Jays to the first Final Four appearance in program history.

Co-Defensive Player of the Week

Reagan O'Brien—Johns Hopkins University

O’Brien filled the stat sheet with five caused turnovers, including key takeaways that directly led to both the game-tying and game-winning goals against Stony Brook. She also added two draw controls and four ground balls in a standout defensive effort.

Co-Defensive Player of the Week

Elena Oh—University of Colorado

Oh delivered an outstanding performance in goal, making 11 saves, including four critical stops in overtime that kept No. 10 Colorado in contention before No. 1-seeded Northwestern ultimately secured the Quarterfinal win on a free-position shot. She faced a total of 29 shots for the game, and the 11 saves marked the second most in a game this season.


Division II

Offensive Player of the Week
Marissa Doty—Pace University

Doty powered Pace University Women's Lacrosse to an NCAA Quarterfinal win over Adelphi University, totaling nine points on five goals and four assists in the 16–12 victory. She added two ground balls, four caused turnovers, and a free-position goal, impacting the game in every area. Doty helped Pace advance to the NCAA Semifinals in Rochester, N.Y., where the Setters will continue their pursuit of a second national championship in program history.

Defensive Player of the Week

Gianna Guzek—Maryville University

Guzek recorded 11 saves in No. 8 Maryville’s 11-10 victory over No. 3 UIndy in the Midwest Regional Championship, including a clutch stop in the closing seconds to preserve the one-goal win. This is Guzek’s second IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.


Division III

Offensive Player of the Week
Eleanor Helm—Tufts University

Helm totaled 16 points across two NCAA Tournament victories for Tufts. She recorded five goals and six assists in Sunday’s Quarterfinal win over No. 20 Williams after posting three goals and two assists against No. 13 Gettysburg in the Third Round.

Defensive Player of the Week

Lindsey Diomede—Wesleyan University

Diomede anchored Wesleyan’s defensive effort in a 7-5 NCAA Division III Quarterfinal victory over Trinity, finishing with seven caused turnovers, three ground balls, and two draw controls in the low-scoring battle. This is Diomede’s second IWLCA Player of the Week accolade this season.
