IWLCA Summer Tournament Series Starts Strong with Southeast and Midwest Cups

 

The 2024 IWLCA Summer Tournament Series commenced with a bang as nearly 1700 prospects and 120-plus coaches flocked to the Southeast Cup and Midwest Cup. In Raleigh, North Carolina, WRAL Park played host to the Southeast Cup from June 8-9, while the action unfolded at the Lou Fusz Athletic Complex in St. Louis, Missouri for the Midwest Cup. Caitlin Schmelz, Elite Tournaments Vice President of Lacrosse, encapsulated the excitement of the opening weekend: “It was an exciting and memorable opening weekend for the IWLCA Summer Tournament Series at the IWLCA Southeast Cup and IWLCA Midwest Cup. We were thrilled to have many teams join us at these events in different regions of the US to continue the mission of the IWLCA to grow the game.”
